Lady Tigers eliminated by La Grange

COLUMBUS - The Sealy Lady Tigers season came to an end last Tuesday after they were defeated by the La Grange Lady Leopards 68-65 in the Bi-District round. After the loss it was an emotional scene for the Lady Tigers as their season came to an end, but their head coach was proud of the fact that his team never quit.

Tigers enter playoffs as the fourth seed

The Sealy Tigers are playoff bound after they finished in 4th place in the district standings with a 7-5 record. The Tigers are only one game behind 3rd place Royal (8-5 record) and finished the season with one win and one loss in district play.

Bellville takes down La Grange

The Bellville Brahmas defeated the La Grange Leopards 56-41 in one of their last district games of the year. The win helped the Brahmas lock up a playoff spot and solidify themselves in the third-place spot in the district standings.

Brahmas, Brahmaettes combine for 3-1 record over last four

Over their last four games the Bellville Brahmas and Brahmaettes played four games total, two each, and finished with a 3-1 record. The strong record helped the Brahmaettes clinch a playin playoff spot and helped the Brahmas climb the standings.

Cougars, Cougarettes take first, Cougars place third at S amp Strength powerlifting meet

The Brazos Cougars and Cougarettes both competed in the Swamp Strength powerlifting meet hosted by Rice Consolidated High School last week and these are their results. Cougarettes The Cougarettes finished in first place as a team at the Swamp Strength meet with a total of 50 points.

SOFTBALL IN 2025

Last season the Lady Tigers had a 28-13 record overall and a 10-3 record in district to come in second place.

State budget filed in the Texas Senate

AUSTIN - Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued the following statement today upon the filing of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the State Budget, by Sen. Joan Huffman, R-Houston: “Today, Senate Finance Chair Joan Huffman filed SB 1, the Texas Senate’s introduced state budget for the 2026-2027 biennium. My budget team and I have worked alongside Chair Huffman and the Senate Finance Committee to ensure the Senate’s state budget reflects the conservative priorities of Texans. I thank Chair Huffman for her tireless work over the interim to produce this budget. She has been a great partner throughout this process, which began in late August.
