Faith Academy Knights pole vaulter Elizabeth (Izzy) Walker is poised to take her athletic career to the next level after officially signing with Lubbock Christian University. A standout in track and field, Walker’s journey from a freshman newcomer to a future collegiate athlete is a testament to her dedication, resilience, and determination.

The Sealy Tigers traveled to Rice Consolidated High School to compete in the Swamp Relays on Thursday, March 27. The conditions were rough, so much so that it canceled out the field events, but the Tigers battled through it and came away with multiple first place finishes.

The Sealy Tigers and the Lady Tigers were both eliminated from the playoffs in the Area Round of the playoffs. The Tigers lost a close one while the Lady Tigers ran into a team that has been a thorn in their side since last season.

The Sealy Lady Tigers are on a four-game winning streak where they have scored 68 runs over that time. Quite the accomplishment, because that’s an average of 17 runs a game not to mention the fact that they gave up only five runs on defense during this stretch of games.

With the conclusion of basketball season comes the announcement of the All-District honors. Six Cougars were selected to the All-District teams, fans of the team will not be shocked by the names that were selected.

The Sealy Lady Tigers finished their season with a heartbreaking loss to the La Grange Lady Leopards. With the end of the season comes All-District Honors and the Lady Tigers were fortunate to have six players selected.
