While many may be attending the Rock the Country festival in Bellville, Sealy voters are urged to allow their voice to be heard to determine the next Place 1 council member during Saturday’s general election. The seat was left vacant after Dee Ann Lerma had reached her term limits and three candidates have filed for the position.

First Baptist Church Sealy celebrates 150-year anniversary

First Baptist Church Sealy’s pastor Terry Wright shared the church’s deep roots and community connections in Sealy following its 150th anniversary celebration earlier this month. Founded in 1876 in San Felipe, First Baptist Church Sealy (FBC Sealy) moved to Front Street in Sealy two years later and has since grown to be the largest Baptist church in the area both in facilities and membership.

Spring Fest celebrates sunshine and Sealy

Sealy Historical Society welcomed the start of the new spring season with its annual Spring Fest, Saturday, April 11, at the Sealy Historical Park. The festival celebrated historical and modern spring activities including hand-churned ice cream, a Victorian tea party, games, demonstrations and more. Despite a shower of rain interrupting the day, the festival continued with a miniature horse exhibition, live music and more.
