Texas’ CWS run ends

Sealy High School alumnus Justin Eckhardt and the University of Texas Longhorn baseball team found the end of the road just a step away from the College World Series Final last Saturday. Texas won both of its Super Regional games against the University of Southern Florida at home then took off to Omaha, Neb.

Just place in the pole vault event 10 days after he took fourth at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships at the University of Oregon, Sealy High School alumnus Clayton Fritsch returned to the pacific northwest to jump for a spot on the United States Olympic team ahead of the 2020 Tokyo games.

Bulking season

D’vonne Hmielewski is one of the Sealy student-athletes putting in the work this summer during strength and conditioning workouts at Sealy Junior High School. High school athletes can work out from 7 to 9 a.m. and junior high athletes follow from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday workouts run from 8 to 10 a.m. for high school athletes only.
