Youngblood racks up awards

Skye Youngblood, representing Cat Spring, racked up a host of awards at the National Rifle Association National Competition at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, IN, earlier this month as the youngest competitor at 14 years old. Astros sweep interstate rival Texas Rangers

The Houston Astros entered this week of play off a sweep of the interstate rival Texas Rangers to help bolster their first-place lead in the American League West. Houston started a west-coast road trip at the start of this week with stops scheduled in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles before returning to Minute Maid Park to face the Minnesota Twins Aug.

Selman Trust donates to Sealy

The Selman Charitable Trust recently presented a donation to the Sealy High School baseball program. The donation will be used to purchase new batting cage netting.
