88 youth campers participated in the Sealy High School Football Camp last week and earned a t-shirt and certificate after learning from the high school coaching staff. The Sealy cross country teams were out in full force Monday, buzzing around campus along with other fall sport student-athletes who were participating in their first practices of the season. The Tiger runners were pounding the pavement just before sunrise Monday morning with participation numbers that pleased head coach Anthony Branch.

Sealy High School Tennis Camp opened Monday

The Sealy High School Tennis Camp opened Monday morning for student-athletes entering kindergarten through high school. In the evening, high school student-athletes hit the court with Head Tennis Coach Joni Baxley running informal drills. Baxley said next week is when a fall tennis team would be finalized. The fall sports season in Texas is officially underway after Monday marked the first day of practices for football, volleyball, cross country and tennis. Sealy Tigers were running wild over Sealy ISD starting before the sun came up on the first day of two a-days.

Cougar cub camps

The Brazos High School athletic department hosted summer youth camps for elementary through junior high school student athletes last week. Head football coach Ryan Roecker and head volleyball coach Amanda Hatton, as well as their respective staff, took advantage of droves of campers who spent parts of their last weeks of summer putting in work ahead of the season. Roecker reported more than 120 athletes attended the first day’s sessions Monday, July 26, between over 70 football campers and over 50 volleyball campers. For more pictures, visit sealynews.com.

Nearly 100 studentathletes from elementary school to incoming freshmen participated in the first days of the Sealy Tiger Youth Football Camp at Sealy High School this week.
