The No. 6 stateranked Bellville Brahmas took care of business over Cameron Yoe 41-26 Friday night at the Pasture of Pain. Richard Reese (22, 70 and 25 yards), Robert Briggs (12 and 10 yards) and Jake Lischka (29 yards) all registered rushing touchdowns to help lift the hosts to 2-0 on the season.

The Faith Academy Knight football squad made another road trip last Friday and came home with another win, this one by a 57-12 final score over Not Your Ordinary School in Round Rock. The Knights improved to 2-0 for the first time since the 2012 season.
Lady Knights volleyball sweeps McDade

The Faith Academy Lady Knight volleyball squad went on the road and swept the McDade Bulldogs (25-17, 27-25, 25-18) last Friday to move to 7-5 overall. Head Coach Deborah Boudoin said the team knew it would be no small task to earn a road victory but they got the job done.
Tigers top Rattlers 40-30

Sealy junior quarterback D’vonne Hmielewski connected with classmate Haden Wernecke for three touchdowns and the Tiger defense recorded three takeaways to secure a 40-30 win over the Navasota Rattlers Friday night in non-district action on the road.
Cougars capture first season win

The Brazos Cougar football team secured its first season-opening victory since 2013 with a 23-8 win over Anderson-Shiro last Friday night at Cougar Stadium in Wallis. The Brazos defense limited the Owls’ offense by forcing a pair of fumbles and registering a safety.

The with 22 unanswered firstquarter Sealy Tigers opened their season points en route to a 43-14 win over the Brazosport Exporters last Friday night on Mark A. Chapman Field at T.J. Mills Stadium to enact revenge from the previous meeting.
Sealy wins Burton Relays

The Sealy Tiger cross country teams came away with both varsity team championships from the Burton Relays last Saturday on the road. Two teams of four Tigers and Lady Tigers were constructed by head coach Anthony Branch and assistant coach Danielle Eschenburg and while the first teams finished first in the relay races, the second teams were not far behind.
Tourney season finished

After competing in the Lamar Consolidated Tournament over the weekend, the Sealy Lady Tiger volleyball wrapped up its tournament schedule and moved onto solo matches the rest of the season. Earlier this week, Sealy hosted Mayde Creek and Caldwell was set to make a trip Friday to close this week of play.
