Sealy junior quarterback D’vonne Hmielewski was intercepted four times and visiting Stafford turned two of them directly into touchdowns to help earn a 28-14 win Friday night, spoiling the Tigers’ homecoming contest at T.J. Mills Stadium.
For nearly two and a half quarters, the Sealy Tigers not only hung with but led the Class 5A Lake Creek Lions on the road Friday night in non-district action. Down the stretch, Sealy suffered multiple injuries and Lake Creek’s depth eventually took over to win 41-34, capped by a 21-point fourth quarter.
A pair of 2-0 teams will clash Friday night in Montgomery when the Sealy Tigers face off against the Lake Creek Lions.
