Sealy returns to win column 38-14

Body

The Sealy Tigers used a touchdown on their opening drive to seize momentum out of the gates of their non-district finale in Bay City Friday night and cruised to a 38-14 win over the Blackcats thanks to five different scorers.

Sealy senior Ethan Hart provided the bookending scores, both from 12 yards out, and executed the decision given to Offensive Coordinator Chris Carruthers on the coin flip by Head Coach Shane Mobley.

HOMECOMING SPOILED

Body
Similar to how Stafford was a better team than its 0-3 record implied, the Spartans’ 28-14 win over Sealy Friday was not as close as it looks on paper. Stafford took a 21-0 lead in 2:19 midway through the second quarter after it recovered a fumbled kickoff and cashed in on two interceptions to steal nearly all of the momentum the host Tigers had on homecoming night.
