The Houston Astros won the American League Division Series three games to one over the Chicago White Sox with a 10-1 win Tuesday afternoon on the road.

Houston advances to the championship series against the Boston Red Sox as the last two AL teams alive in the postseason. It will be the Astros’ fifth consecutive trip to the ALCS which has only been done twice since the 1969 season (Braves 1991-99 and Athletics 1971-75). Game 1 of the championship series will take place at Minute Maid Park Friday against the Boston Red Sox with the first pitch time still to be determined.

Houston won the first two games of the series at home and bounced back from a Game 3 loss on the road to end the White Sox’ season. Despite the loss, outfielder Kyle Tucker became the seventh player in club history to post a four-RBI game in the postseason.

In Game 4, Tucker stole two bases in the same at-bat in the fourth inning and eventually scored on catcher Martin Maldonado’s first hit of the postseason. That performance made Tucker the first player in ALDS history to record at least seven RBI and two stolen bases in one series.

Outfielder Michael Brantley recorded a pair of RBI base hits Tuesday afternoon to extend a postseason hitting streak to 15 games which becomes the longest such streak in club history. His streak, which extends back to Game 1 of the 2020 ALDS, also serves as the longest in the Majors since Alcides Escobar did so for the Kansas City Royals in their 2015 run to the World Series.

Also in Tuesday's Game 4, Astros second baseman Jose Altuve launched a three-run home run in the ninth inning and moved into a tie for fourth place all-time in postseason home runs with George Springer and Albert Pujols.
