The bi-annual 2026-2028 UIL district realignment was announced on Monday, February 2. As a result, the Sealy Tiger football team has been placed in Region III, District 11-DI. The enrollment numbers for 4A DI division were set at 896 to 1,304. Sealy’s enrollment is 963 which means Sealy will now be competing in a district with Bay City, El Campo, Navasota, Needville, Royal, and West Columbia. Sealy’s 963 enrollment is well above the cutoff numbers for division 1. However, Sealy’s enrollment numbers have only increased by 23 since the last enrollment numbers, which had Sealy at 940.
Samantha “Sammy” Huerta, Female Coach Ed Runner of the Year, led the Sealy Lady Tigers Cross Country team during the season. Huerta, a sophomore, qualified for the state meet where she finished 89th out of 151 runners.
