The Sealy Tiger basketball team, off to one of the best starts in a while, goes into the Christmas season with a 9-1 record. In their last outing on Friday, Dec.

The Sealy Lady Tigers were handed their 6th loss of the year after being defeated by the Almeta Crawford Lady Chargers last Tuesday. The Lady Tigers were defeated by a score of 44-30 for a 14-point loss, and it was also their first district loss of the year.

In the recent edition of the Dave Campbell’s Texas High School Football magazine, they released their Whataburger Super Team. This picked several players from across all schools and classifications, and two Brazos Cougars were selected for the team. The two players selected also share a last name, and they are brothers Jarvse and Jevan Dickerson. These two were a true dynamic duo with Jarvse finding Jevan several times throughout games for big gains, and Jevan returned the favor by blocking downfield for Jarvse to pick up chunks of yards on the ground. These two were fun to watch as their brother chemistry was on full display and earned them a spot on the Whataburger Super Team.

The Sealy Lady Tigers took on the Rice Lady Raiders in back-to-back games recently and came away with two wins. They took on the Lady Raiders once during tournament play and once again in Altair with the Lady Tigers defeating the Lady Raiders both times.

The Brazos Cougars improved their record to 6-4 after defeating the Sommerville Yeguas this past Tuesday. The win gave the Cougars their sixth win of the year and their third in a row as they are stacking wins early this season.

The Sealy Tiger basketball team achieved an outstanding 6-1 record throughout the Dec. 12 games. However, they also tasted defeat as they took their first loss against Schulenburg in the Shorthorn tournament.

After a very productive season with the Brazos Cougars football team Jarvse Dickerson has officially signed with the University of San Antonio Roadrunners. Dickerson has chosen to continue his football career as a Roadrunner, and they will be receiving a very talented and competitive dual threat quarterback. Dickerson finished the year with over 1,300 yards passing and over 1,700 yards rushing and scored 45 combined touchdowns. With Dickerson putting pen to paper, he now gets ready to head westbound down I-10 towards San Antonio to suit up and show the world what he can do on the football field as a Roadrunner.

The Brazos Cougars football team had a very successful season that saw them post an 8-3 overall record and a 4-2 district. With all that success comes some post season honors and all eyes shift to the release of the All-District team.
