Lady Tigers softball start season 9-1

The Sealy Lady Tigers softball team have taken the field to start the softball season playing in 10 games so far this year. The Lady Tigers went on a seven-game winning streak defeating Mayde Creek, Columbus, Bellville, Klein Cain, Fulshear, Seven Lakes and Cypress Ranch with a combined score of 58-7. Then they took on Foster and lost their first game of the year with a score of 4-2. But then bounced back with back-to-back wins over Needville and Bellville with a combined score of 16-0.

No. 5 Blinn picks up another team win with triumph at Jack Brown Memorial Invitational

The fifth-ranked Blinn College women’s golf team began its spring season exactly how it ended the fall – with a victory. The Buccaneers combined to shoot 17-over par during the two-day, two-round Jack Brown Memorial Invitational at Lakecliff Country Club in Spicewood, Texas.

Signing day has five Tigers sign on to play in college

Five Sealy Tiger athletes, including four football players and one track athlete, signed on to extend their playing careers at the opening signing day on Thursday, Feb. 5. The six o’clock event, held at the Sealy High School gym, was well-attended by relatives, friends, and fans who came to honor these athletes.

Sealy moves to District 11; old district rivalries renewed

The bi-annual 20262028 UIL district realignment was announced on Monday, February 2. As a result, the Sealy Tiger football team has been placed in Region III, District 11-DI. The enrollment numbers for 4A DI division were set at 896 to 1,304. Sealy’s enrollment is 963, which means Sealy will now be competing in a district with Bay City, El Campo, Navasota, Needville, Royal, and West Columbia. Sealy’s 963 enrollment is well above the cutoff numbers for division 1. However, Sealy’s enrollment numbers have only increased by 23 since the last enrollment numbers, which had Sealy at 940.
