The Sealy Lady Tigers were eliminated from playoff contention after being defeated by the La Grange lady Leopards in the Bi-District round. The Lady Tigers fought hard to keep their season alive but came up just short against the Lady Leopards with a score of 71-30.

The Sealy Lady Tigers softball team have taken the field to start the softball season playing in 10 games so far this year. The Lady Tigers went on a seven-game winning streak defeating Mayde Creek, Columbus, Bellville, Klein Cain, Fulshear, Seven Lakes and Cypress Ranch with a combined score of 58-7. Then they took on Foster and lost their first game of the year with a score of 4-2. But then bounced back with back-to-back wins over Needville and Bellville with a combined score of 16-0.

The Sealy varsity boys basketball team had a mixed performance last week, splitting its district games with a 1-1 record. On Tuesday, they showcased their dominance by defeating Katy HSI 78-10. However, on Friday, Feb. 13, the topranked Almita Crawford team came to Sealy and emerged victorious, defeating the Tigers 72-52.

The fifth-ranked Blinn College women’s golf team began its spring season exactly how it ended the fall – with a victory. The Buccaneers combined to shoot 17-over par during the two-day, two-round Jack Brown Memorial Invitational at Lakecliff Country Club in Spicewood, Texas.
