Last Tuesday morning, Sealy Cross Country opened up the district meet at Sealy High School. Athletes from Royal, Stafford, Freeman, Harmony, and Crawford all participated in the first district meet; the competition was fierce, at least not for the hometown Sealy Tigers.

It was a “Knight” to remember on Friday, Oct. 4 at SAB Stadium. The Faith Academy Knights took on the Knights of Valor Prep out of Waco. This game turned out to be a contest that ended in a final score of 148-112 in favor of Faith Academy.

The Brazos Cougars cross country team competed in the District 24AAA Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Brazos High School. The varsity girls team placed third in the varsity girls race with 75 points qualifying for the Region III meet. This is the 22nd year in a row for the girls’ team to qualify for the regional meet.

On Friday night there was a special occasion where every Brazos Cougar young and old, met up to celebrate tradition, Homecoming. It was a very festive evening, the band played some of its signature tunes and the football team trotted out a lineup that was hungry for its first district win.

Sealy, Bellville to renew rivalry this Friday at Pasture of Pain This Friday, one of the most anticipated matchups of the season will take place when the Bellville Brahmas (2-3) will face off against the Sealy High School Tigers (4-1) in a rematch of last season where the Tigers lost 69-0. The battle for Austin County will take place in Bellville at “The Pasture of Pain,” many memories were created from that place.

The Old Glory Gallup featured 87 teams and more than 800 runners The Blinn College men’s and women’s cross country teams enjoyed a successful run at the Old Glory Gallup hosted by Dallas Baptist University on Saturday in Dallas.

On Tuesday night, the Brazos Cougars got back on track by sweeping Hempstead three to zero sets. This is the first time Brazos swept in back-to-back games this season.

Sealy gets back on track Against Needville Sealy captured a huge win over Needville 55-17. Quarterback Kane Killough dominated once again with 324 yards of total offense and six total touchdowns.
