The Sealy Lady Tigers continued their strong start to the season with a nice win over La Grange last Friday night. Sealy won 25-20, 28-30, 25-14 and 25-23.

70-33 That’s how you open the football season. Sealy ran out to a 28-6 first-quarter lead and easily cruised to a 70-33 victory over the Navasota Rattlers to open the 2024 season in fine fashion.
The Faith Academy Knights took on Waco Vanguard (4A) in their season opener at Allen Academy, in Bryan, in the TX showdown. The Knights started the first play of the game with a forced fumble by senior Cash Eckermann, with the recovery by sophomore Kelton Galle, and a 22-yard return.
The Brazos Cougars ushered in the Audie Jackson era in fine fashion last Friday with a 34-13 victory over Hempstead in the season opener for both squads. Junior Jarvse Dickerson rushed for 187 yards and five touchdowns to pace the Cougars attack in claiming the home opener.
Faith Academy traveled to Schulenburg Sports Complex, Thursday, Aug 29, for their third Cross Country Meet of the 2024 season. Schulenburg was the host to 16 teams. The Sports Complex is home to the Longhorns soccer, baseball and softball teams. The course took the runners on a trail winding around the 3 fields and was very spectator friendly.
The Sealy Lady Tigers moved to 15-11 on the volleyball season after an impressive week of play including the Bronze Bracket championship at the Needville Volleyball tournament. Sealy finished off last week with a three-game sweep on the final day of the tournament last Saturday.
The Brazos Cougars cross country team competed in the Bellville Booster Club Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Bellville. In the junior varsity girls’ race, Yurai Roque placed second, Lily Bertrand finished eighth and Hannah Gonzalez was11th.
The Lady Tigers had been looking for something to jump start their 2024 volleyball season and may have received that this past weekend. Sealy was crowned the Silver Bracket champions of the Bay City Volleyball Tournament in Bay City.
