The Sealy Lady Tiger basketball squad reached the district portion of its schedule earlier this week on a road trip to Brookshire to face the Royal Lady Falcons in the first game in the new District 24-4A.

Sealy senior outside hitter Brylie Nedd gathered another postseason honor and was recently named to the all-state team for Class 4A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. In addition, five more Lady Tigers landed on the academic all-state list awarded by the TGCA.

With a 64-50 win over Edna last Saturday to start 2021, the Sealy Tiger boys’ basketball team opened this week of play with a 4-3 overall record. Sealy traveled to Magnolia earlier this week to face Legacy Prep Christian Academy and will host Brazosport Christian this Saturday afternoon.

Both Sealy soccer squads kicked off their respective regular seasons this week when the Lady Tigers hosted Bay City Tuesday evening while the Tigers will travel to Bay City Friday evening. Each of the teams will play three non-district games, as well as a tournament, before the fight for playoff position within District 20-4A begins.

After a trio of games last week, the Sealy Tiger basketball team entered this week at 2-2 with three games left to play before the new year and three more in January before the district-opening contest in Wharton on Jan. 12.
