The Sealy Tiger soccer team lost a 2-0 lead over the Splendora Wildcats within 4:13 in the final minutes of regulation and was eliminated in the regional semifinals in its first fourth-round appearance in program history by a 3-2 score last Tuesday evening at Cy Park High School.

The Sealy Tiger baseball team closed the first round of play within District 24-4A with a 5-0 win over Navasota last Friday at Aubrey “Mutt” Stuessel Stadium and improved its record to 4-1. Sealy’s senior starting pitcher Rhys Reichardt allowed only two hits and struck out eight Rattler batters over the course of his complete-game shutout.

The Sealy Tiger team tennis squad was in action in Navasota April 1 and in Waller April 7 (JV) and brought back multiple wins and a handful of medals as well. Sealy then moved on to preparations for the District 24-4A Championships held earlier this week in Bellville.

In its final home game of the regular season, the Sealy Lady Tiger softball squad defeated the Navasota Rattlers 7-2 last Friday evening to move to 5-2 within District 24-4A with only three games left to play.

The Blinn College dance team captured its eighth straight national title, while the Blinn College cheer team placed second at the 2021 National Cheer Association & National Dance Association Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships last Friday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

With a 3-1 win over Salado last Friday, the Sealy Tiger soccer team clinched a spot in the Region 3 Championship for the first time in program history. Earlier this week, Sealy traveled to Cy Park High School to face the Splendora Wildcats, winners of District 22, in the fourth round of the playoffs.

T.J. Mills Stadium and Mark A. Chapman Field hosted the District 24-4A Championships last Tuesday (prelims) and Wednesday (finals) and the host Sealy Tigers earned the girls’ team championship and finished as runners up in the boys’ team competition behind 11 individual champions.
