KATHLEEN JOANN TULLIS MCDOWELL May 1, 1952-June 13, 2025 Kathleeen JoAnn Tullis McDowell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home June 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on May 1, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, Kathleen’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter and an unwavering dedication to her family Kathleen was a proud graduate of North High School in Des Moines, having completed her education in 1970.

Karen Elizabeth Marek, a dedicated and passionate advocate for animals, unexpectedly passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on Feb. 27, 1969, in Palo Alto, California, Karen grew up in a military family, which led her to move frequently throughout her childhood.

TILLIE MAY MALER SELL Tillie May Sell was born on July 19, 1931, to John and Mary “Marie” Surovik Maler in Sealy, Texas and made her final journey to be home with Her Lord and to reunite with her beloved Allen and many loved ones on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, peacefully with her family at her side. She graduated from Sealy High School in 1949.

May 20, 1963 – March 7, 2025 William “Bill” Frank Buford, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on March 7, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on May 20, 1963, in Houston, Bill lived a life rich with passion and commitment to family and community.
