Melinda Dittert Brod passed away peacefully in her home on July 20, 2024, at 67 years of age after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. Melinda was a loving wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by those who love her.

HERMAN MAXWELL CLAY, JR.

Herman Maxwell Clay, Jr. passed away Saturday, June 29 at home in Weston Lakes (Fulshear), Texas. Born to Herman and Billie Clay, May 11, 1940, in Dallas, he heeded his father’s observation that there would always be a need for engineers and attended Southern Methodist University, and later Texas Tech and the University of Texas, culminating in a PhD in civil engineering.

ANDREW JULES (SONNY) LARRIVIERE JR.

Andrew Jules (Sonny) Larriviere Jr. went to be with our Lord in Heaven on June 25, 2024, at the age of 96. Sonny was born in Broussard, Louisiana on Dec. 22, 1927, to Andrew Jules (Boone) Larriviere Sr. and Lucille Bernard Larriviere. He was the second oldest child, with one older sister and three younger brothers, and three younger sisters. He was Baptized into the Catholic faith on Dec. 26, 1927, at Sacred Heart Church in Broussard.

ROSALEE CAROLE HARDMAN

Rosalee “Rosy” Carole Hardman, 62, passed unexpectedly in Katy, Texas on June 6, 2024. Rosy was born on July 8, 1961, to James Beecher “J.B.” and Bobbie Joe (Knight) Davidson in Snyder, Texas. She moved with her family to the Houston/Sugar Land area at a young age, where she attended HSPVA and graduated from Dulles High School in 1979. Rosy went on to study Fashion Merchandising and Design at Wade College.

WELDON DANIEL BRAST

Weldon Daniel Brast, 88, of Sealy passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Weldon was born in Sealy to parents Gustav and Eliza Brast. He was raised in Sealy and attended Sealy High School. In 1956, Weldon joined the US Army only to find out that his name on his birth certificate was really Walter. On Sept. 12, 1963, he was joined in marriage to Miss Judy Adell Rosselle with a ceremony held in San Felipe.
