Louis James Marusik passed away suddenly Sept. 10, 2024, at his home in Greensboro, NC. He was born Feb. 1, 1949, in Sealy, to Joe N. and Annie (Zaskoda) Marusik. He first attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School (go, Bluejays!) and graduated from Sealy High School in 1968. Louis served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, then began a long career in the precast concrete products field, managing plants in Virginia, Florida, Texas, Oregon and North Carolina. He retired in 2015 from Smith-Midland in Reidsville, NC.

Marine Corps buddies from Sealy are James Necker, Brent Bolin Charles Bartlett, George Thyelmann, Julius Lyons and brother Don Williams.
