LILLIE MAE (KUTACH) PUSTEJOVSKY
Lillie Mae (Kutach) Pustejovsky passed away on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, in Sugar Land at the age of 86. Funeral services and visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis. Visitation from 9 – 10:30 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m.
She was born May 20, 1938, in Wharton, to parents Vencil and Millie Kutach. Lillie was the sixth of eleven children. She grew up in the community of Burr and attended school in Boling. She was happily married to Leroy Fred Pustejovsky on Aug. 2, 1955, for 59 years until his passing in 2015.
Lillie was a loving and devoted wife and mother, known for her wonderful cooking and friendship. After her kids went to school, she went to work for Guardian Angel Catholic School, Wallis ISD, then Brazos ISD. After 34 years of service, she retired as Food Service Manager for Brazos Middle School. Lillie enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes for desserts, canning pickles, gathering with family and friends laughing and reminiscing about treasured moments, traveling especially with her close friends Ellison and Ellen Hrnicko. She also loved her excursions to Louisiana casinos, Bingo and weekend shopping trips to the mall.
She was an active member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church. She also served over 56 years with the Catholic Daughters organization and a member of the KJZT Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Pustejovsky, her parents Vencil and Millie Kutach, sisters and their spouses; Sophie Ezell (Graham), Mary Orsak (Jerry), Evelyn Stavinoha (James) her brothers and their spouses; Leon Kutach, Vencil “VJ” Kutach (Dorothy), Ervin Kutach (Virginia) and Daniel Kutach, sister-in-law Margie Kutach, brother- in-law Adolph Pustejovsky (Billie) She is survived by her children Dennis Pustejovsky (Margaret) and Kenneth Pustejovsky (Susan). Her grandchildren Ben Pustejovsky (Terry Noe), Lucy Pustejovsky, Nicholas Pustejovsky, and step-grandchildren Lisa Kanack (Bennie), Stacie Sillivan (Kody Milburn), Tracie Parnell (Timothy), Cherie Nieto (Bruce Haver) and John Andrew Sillivan (Gabriela). Seven step great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandson. She is also survived by brothers Adolph Kutach (Clara), Eugene Kutach and Stanley Kutach (Peggy) and sister-in-law Sylvia Kutach and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.
