JOHN THOMAS KOPECKY

John Thomas Kopecky, 80, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, in Sealy. He was born Dec. 27, 1943, in East Bernard to Thomas and Annie Kopecky. John was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a self-employed Carpenter. John Managed the American Legion Hall in Wallis for many years. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Hillmann and husband Calvin, two sisters, Genevieve Hajovsky and husband Jerry, Mary Ann Hillmann and husband Bosco, and sister-in-law Linda Kopecky, two grandsons, Cody and Chase Hillmann. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sue Kopecky, three brothers, Edward, Larry, and Alfred Kopecky, two sisters, Margaret Miller and Bernadette Kopecky along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. including a Rosary at 1:30 p.m.
