July 30, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the Sealy Police Department investigated an Aggravated Robbery at 418 Highway 90 West Ste. #1, in Sealy, Texas where a male subject entered the business, brandished a small, black handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subject left on foot walking west from the business. Still photos from the surveillance video show a white male, having a distinct tattoo on his neck/throat, wearing a dark cap, a blue mask, black shirt and jacket. Thin build approximately 5’2” to 5’5”.

July 28, the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) rescued 22 dogs and four cats from a property on the west side of Sealy. “It was one of the worst cases of deplorable living conditions Houston SPCA Animal Cruelty Investigators said they have seen in their many years of field experience in animal welfare,” a press release said last Wednesday.

During the July 28 meeting of the Sealy ISD Board of Trustees, the trustees worked closer to finalizing a budget that would see a tax rate decrease of 0.0277 cents and a midpoint pay increase for teachers of 3%.
