Trail Riders from various parts of Austin County could be seen with their horses and mules traveling down Highway 159 to the Austin County Fairgrounds in Bellville as part of a historic tradition. The Trail Riders primarily came from two groups: the North End Trail Riders from Kenney and the West End Trail Riders from Industry.

October is National Infant and Pregnancy Loss awareness month which recognizes pregnancy loss and infant death due to various causes. Although families may feel alone in the days and weeks after losing a child, statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that stillbirth affects nearly one out of 160 births and each year, about 24,000 babies are stillborn in the United States.

The Westview neighborhood hosted a National Night Out event last Tuesday, Oct. 5, where members of the Sealy Police Department came to get familiar with the community and families they serve.
