Chorale to return Nov. 7

The Austin County Civic Chorale will be performing their first concert of their 37th season Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. The concert, titled “How Can I Keep From Singing?” will feature selections of comfort, hope and gratitude and will happen at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville.
Sealy High School inducts 46 to NHS

Wednesday, Oct. 20, the Sealy High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 46 new members into the organization to bring the total membership to 110 Sealy High School juniors and seniors.
Gas tops $3 across state

The price of a gallon of gasoline tops $3 across much of the state, which is up more than $1.20 from a year ago, according to AAA. The average price for regular gas in Texas stood at $3.03 per gallon on Sunday as crude oil prices continue to creep up, closing above $80 per barrel. Crude oil price is one of a quartet of factors that influence the cost of gasoline, reported The Dallas Morning News. The cost of refining, distribution expenses and taxes also affect the price at the pump.
COVID-19 active case count falls

Kuespert, Cano crowned Faith Academy Homecoming royalty

Last Friday night’s weather was a perfect night for Faith Academy’s 2021 Homecoming game in the Sabrsula Stadium. Faith Academy’s David Sobey was in the announcer’s booth calling all the plays as our Athletic Coordinator Yvonne Woods readied herself to introduce our Homecoming Court and host the halftime Homecoming Ceremony.
