Faith Academy’s historic season ends in semifinal loss to Sacred Heart

ARLINGTON – Faith Academy’s baseball season came to a close Friday afternoon, May 9th, with a 9-5 loss to Sacred Heart of Hallettsville in the TAPPS State Semifinals at UT Arlington. Despite a strong run, the Knights couldn’t overcome early defensive miscues that allowed Sacred Heart to build a lead.
Eight Cougars selected to the all-district team

The Brazos Cougars baseball team had eight players selected to the all-district team at the conclusion of the 2025 season. It was an exciting season for the Cougars and now the players’ efforts on the field are being recognized with All-District honors.
Sealy names new volleyball coach

According to a Facebook post from Sealy High School the Sealy Lady Tigers will have a new bench boss. Amy Parker, who served as an assistant coach last season, will be stepping into her new role as the head coach of the Lady Tigers volleyball team next season.
Eleven Tigers selected to the All-District team

The Sealy Tigers baseball teams had 11 players selected to the All-District team following the 2025 season. One of the players selected was actually chosen to be the Defensive Player of the Year to add even more excitement to the All-District honors.
Sealy track athlete commits to Jacksonville College

Sealy Lady Tigers senior Ria Torres has committed to continuing her athletic career at Jacksonville College. “It is always great to see our kids accomplish goals, when they find opportunities to get their education paid for and go and compete at the next level, it is gratifying,” Sealy Athletic Director Clint Finley said.

Centennial time capsule moves to Blanco State Park

AUSTIN— The Centennial Time Capsule, which encompasses 100 years of Texas State Parks history, hit the road once again and headed to Blanco State Park as part of its 50-year trek to every state park. The time capsule, which houses one object from every state park and support program, went on display at Abilene State Park in November.
