The Sealy Tigers were eliminated from the playoffs after being swept in their three-game series against Robinson. They played game one of the series on Wednesday, April 30, then bad weather pushed game two back to Saturday, May 3, and both games were played in Mumford.

The Sealy Track team traveled to Austin to compete in the State Track Meet held at the University of Texas’ track. Sealy ended up leaving Austin with a bronze medal thanks to Steven Schwartz who came in 3rd place in the 300m hurdle race with a time of 37.82 seconds. In the 4x100m relay the team of Logan Newsom, Bryce Mack, Noah Washington and Davian Thomas came in 4th place with a time of 41.62 seconds. In the 4x200m relay the team of Newsome, Mack, Thomas and Hudson Hauerland came in 5th place with a time of one minute and 27 seconds. Finally, in the girls triple jump Avery Grigar came in 6th place with a jump of 37’11.75” to round out their time at the State Meet. Congratulations to all of these athletes for a remarkable season.

The Sealy Tigers traveled to El Campo and Weimar High School to take on La Grange in a best of three-games series for the bi-district championship. The Tigers won game one but unfortunately were unable to secure that second win needed to advance to the Area Championship.
