The Columbus Youth Track team has begun practicing in preparation for their first meet of the season. The team was started in 2021 by one of Columbus’ fastest runners (some call him Columbus’ fastest man) Royce Caldwell.

The Columbus Aquatic Team hosted their Mock Meet this past Saturday, and it served as an opportunity for the new swimmers to get a feel for how a real meet will go this season. The turnout for the meet was amazing according to CATfish’s Board President Tiara Flores and said it was some good friendly competition.

The Buccaneers have participated in the event during each of their three World Series appearances since 2023 Dusty Hart made sure his team knew how special it is to be invited to the Little League Baseball Challenger Division season finale.

Sophomore Ethan Gonzalez set the tournament record for batting average after going 14 of 20 in four games It was the Blinn Buccaneers’ year until it wasn’t, and sometimes, that’s just the way baseball goes.

The Sealy Lady Tiger had three of their players selected to be on the Academic All-State team for the 2025 season. The three Lady Tigers that were selected to the Academic All-State team were Emily Acosta and Jaylyn Packebush who made the second team.
