Noah Washington, a senior at Sealy High School put pen to paper on Monday, April 14, to continue his football career at Rochester Community and Technical College. “It feels amazing, I have been dreaming about this my whole life,” Washington said.

The Sealy Tigers baseball team played two district games against La Marque and Almeta Crawford and ended up on the winning side and the losing side of those games. The Tigers are looking to pick up one more win before the season ends to help them lock up a playoff spot and potentially move up the district standings.

The Brazos High School girls track team competed in the UIL Class 3A Region III Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19, in Huntsville. The varsity girls’ team finished with 10 points to come in 14th place out of 34 schools that scored in the meet. Individually, Sophia Vykukal finished first in the high jump with a jump of 5’ 4” and is the Regional Champion. Sylvia Lopez placed 12th in the long jump with a personal best jump of 16’ 6¾”. Stephaniah Phillips was 13th in the 1600 meter run in 6:01.55.

The Sealy Lady Tigers softball team won back-toback games where they won with a combined score of 33-0. The Lady Tigers took on the Royal Lady Flacons and the La Marque Lady Cougars recently and defeated both of them to put themselves in the driver’s seat to win yet another District Championship.

For the first time since 2008, Faith Academy’s baseball team has claimed the district championship— and they did it in dominant fashion. The Knights capped off an undefeated 10-0 run in district play, showcasing a season defined by grit, determination, and lightsout pitching.

The Buccaneers now have 21 combined cheer and dance championships The Blinn College cheer and dance teams spent the weekend in Daytona, Fla., and returned to Brenham, Texas, the way they virtually always have: as national champions.

The Sealy Tigers and Lady Tigers had multiple athletes qualify for the Regional Track Meet after a strong performance at the Area Meet. Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers have had strong track seasons up until this point and just carried their momentum into the Area Meet to help qualify for the Regional Meet.
