SAN MARCOS - The THSCA and Texas Farm Bureau Insurance have released the regional Coach of the Year honorees for soccer. THSCA members are offered a chance to nominate a head coach and/or an assistant coach for the Coach of the Year award after the state championships in each sport.

AUSTIN— The Centennial Time Capsule, which encompasses 100 years of Texas State Parks history, hit the road once again and headed to Blanco State Park as part of its 50-year trek to every state park. The time capsule, which houses one object from every state park and support program, went on display at Abilene State Park in November.

The Brazos Cougarettes’ softball season is over so now it’s time to take a look at some of their stat leaders this year. The Cougarettes had several talented athletes on their roster and put up some strong numbers despite missing the playoffs.

The Bellville Brahmas finished off their season with two wins and two losses over their last four games. It was two, best of three games series to close out the year for the Brahmas the first series was for the Bi-District Championship and the second was for the Area Championship.

The Blinn College District Agricultural Sciences Program marked a major milestone with the 25th anniversary of its annual Ag Mechanics Show, welcoming nearly 300 entries and introducing a new award recognizing student excellence in showmanship.
