Early Voting outcomes released

Unofficial Early Voting election results are in for some races in Austin County. According to the numbers received, just over seven percent of registered voters in the county participated in early voting or sent in absentee ballots.

In the Position 5 race for the Sealy Independent School District Ryan Reichardt received 209 early votes, and Ralph Bond received 80 votes.

Nine Sealy High School student-athletes were recently honored by the Texas High School Coaches Association and the Texas Army National Guard with academic all-state distinction. Five tennis athletes and four Tiger soccer players cracked lists that were split up into four levels: Elite, first team, second team and honorable mention.
Sealy High School alum and Sam Houston State senior Clayton Fritsch recently signed a Name, Image and Likeness marketing deal with Frio Ice Chests, a product of Visual Promotions, to mark the first such deal for Sealy representatives. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO  

FRITSCH INKS NIL DEAL

Growing up, the only way Clayton Fritsch’s dream of being a paid professional athlete could become real had to wait until after his collegiate career. However, recent legislation has opened the door for college student-athletes to benefit monetarily from their name, image and likeness through marketing opportunities.

The Sealy Tiger soccer team found the end of the road in the Area Championship after a 5-1 loss to Waco La Vega last Tuesday. With the end of the season also came the release of all-district awards and the runner-up Tigers earned multiple selections.
