While the finish was not what Sealy Head Girls Volleyball Coach Syndey Jones had hoped for, she can only look back at this historic season for her Lady Tigers and their accomplishments and know this team left its imprint on the program. Sealy was eliminated from the soccer playoffs by Little Cypress-Mauriceville 3-0 last Friday night in Crosby.

The first time the Sealy Lady Tigers faced off against the state-ranked El Campo Ladybirds, El Campo walked away with a 14-2 win over the young Sealy squad. Last week, the two teams faced off again in Sealy and this time the Lady Tigers came out to give El Campo a strong battle.

With one game left on the first half of the District 25-4A baseball schedule, the Sealy Tigers are currently sitting in second place one game behind Needville and one game ahead of Bellville. Sealy moved to 5-1 in district after claiming a 3-2 win over El Campo last Friday night.

The Sealy Lady Tigers opened up district play last Friday with a 16-3 home victory over Wharton. The victory moved Sealy to 8-6 overall and 1-0 in district play.

Sealy boys soccer appear to be peaking at right time of year Fresh off a week where the Sealy boys posted a 2-1 record in three district games, the Tigers now sit firmly in third place in District 20-4A with two games left in the season. Sealy opened the week with a big 2-0 win over Bellville.

Sealy will be sending seven boys’ powerlifters to the Regional Powerlifting Meet. The meet is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8 at West Harden High School.

Sealy Lady Tigers soccer take aim at finishing strong With the first round of district play behind them, the Sealy Lady Tigers are sitting firmly in second place in district with a 3-1 record but they have their eyes set on that firstplace finish. While the team has played well at times this year, Sealy Head Girls Soccer Coach Sydney Jones knows her Lady Tigers can play at a higher level and need to start getting their play going as district nears a close and playoffs loom ahead.

The Sealy girls’ powerlifting team competed at Rice Consolidated on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Sealy slams La Marque 56-13 to secure playoff berth Scoring more than 50 points for the third straight game, Sealy prepped for the Class 4A playoffs with an easy 56-13 victory over La Marque to clinch the third place seed out of District 10-4A. “I was so proud of the boys and I didn’t expect the outcome to turn out as it did,” said Sealy Head Football Coach Shane Mobley.
