Active cases declining

To start the week, the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) had a record of 1,776 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Austin County, 13 more than last week, and an estimated 20 active cases, one fewer than last week. A COVID-19 related fatality has not been reported in the county since March 22 and that tally remained at 34 to begin the week.

Flood Warning extended

The Flood Warning League City's National Weather Service initially issued from Sunday morning into Monday night was extended to Tuesday morning according to a Saturday night announcement. 

The Flood Warning is for the San Bernard River near Austin, Wharton, Fort Bend and Colorado Counties where East Bernard, Sweeny and Boling are forecast to experience moderate flooding.
