The Sealy FFA are preparing for the State LDE at SHSU in five events. This is a huge accomplishment and these students have excelled because of their hard work.
We all know the words “O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree! How lovely are thy branches.” The Sealy Area Historical Society’s “O Christmas Tree! event on Dec. 16, 17 and 18 is a celebration of these wellknown lyrics. The hours for the event each day are 5 to 9 p.m.
After nearly six years of planning, fundraising, engineering, unforeseen delays, and construction, the restoration and air conditioning of the Turnverein is complete. Working with the Texas Historical Commission, the project’s goal of restoring the hall while maintaining its historical character has been achieved preserving the historic and iconic 1897 building for present and future generations.

The Gary Kollatschny Animal Control Facility in Sealy is running into a bit of a problem. The shelter is full of dogs at the present time and it is becoming increasingly harder for the facility to maintain its status as a no kill shelter right now.
