Blinn reviews plans for Bryan Campus

CONTRIBUTED REPORT During its regular meeting Tuesday, the Blinn College District Board of Trustees reviewed architectural plans for a $31 million Administration Building that will conveniently locate enrollment services, academic advising, testing, and financial aid services on the Bryan Campus. The 46,000-squarefoot facility also will include administrative space, prospective student relations, business services, human resources, and a large meeting room with capacity for up to 300 people.

Jury sides with Enterprise in lawsuit over River Ridge The final chapter may have been closed on River Ridge Golf Course in the district courtroom at the Austin County Justice Center. A jury voted 10-2 in favor of Enterprise Crude Pipeline finding the company’s pipelines had nothing to do with the sinkholes/washouts on the course in 2017 following Hurricane Harvey’s arrival on the Gulf Coast and Houston area.
‘No update’ to Lindemann case

Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn said Monday, Jan. 30 that “there is no update” on the investigation into the Jan. 16 incident at Lindemann’s Store involving a 65-year-old woman being held against her will and assaulted at the store.

Austin County is under a winter weather advisory until noon Wednesday.
Residents can expect freezing rain, ice accumulations around or less than one-eighth of an inch.
The counties effected include Walker, Grimes, Colorado, Austin and Waller counties.
