Pair arrested for deadly conduct charge in Sealy

Members of the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender/Fugitive Task Force apprehended a pair of suspects wanted for deadly conduct/discharging a firearm in Sealy July 16. Authorities arrested Jaleisha Parker and Deeago Thomas, both of Bryan, without incident Thursday, July 27.

According to a Texas Rangers spokesperson, the investigation into the death of an Austin County Jail inmate is still pending. Rangers are awaiting the results of an autopsy conducted by the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s office at this time.
Council acts on water meters, park safety

If you happen to see a non-city truck in your backyard sometime soon, there’s no need to panic. The Sealy City Council voted to replace over 1,800 smart water meters throughout town last Tuesday night after it was revealed that a majority of them were 30-40 years old.

While their run in Kirkland, Washington came to an end short of the ultimate goal, the Sealy Junior Girls softball squad returned to Sealy this week and remained the toast of the town. Sealy finished in fourth place at the World Series and that’s really not bad for a team from a small town in Texas.
Sealy nursing home hosts ‘Senior Prom’ for residents

Who said there was an age limit on having a blast? Colonial Living and Rehabilitation, a nursing home located on Eagle Lake Rd, recently threw an event titled “Dancing with the Seniors” for their residents to engage in and have a good time. The program promotes dancing and music and encourages seniors to dress up and make connections with one another.
