State Representative Stan Kitzman has submitted Master Sergeant Mike C. Pena of Newgulf, Wharton County, for nomination to be posthumously awarded the Texas Legislative Medal of Honor during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. This prestigious award is the highest military commendation that can be conferred to a service member of the United States Armed Forces from the state of Texas.

C.H.A.M.P, the group formally known as the Friends of the Sealy American Legion Post 442, has been approved by the IRS for their application designating the group as a 501(c)(3). “We very much look forward to continuing the charitable fund-raising efforts as well as continuing our collaboration with the Sealy American Legion Post 442 and helping the post thrive in its own efforts to assist and promote charitable entities in the community,” said Daniel R.
