Blessing of the Downtown & Ice Cream Social Aug. 31 Come out to help The Sealy downtown merchants bless downtown Sealy, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. We will walk around downtown with local pastors and end up back at 222 Fowlkes for an ice cream social. Boo! The bash is coming this year

Grab your costumes and get ready for the spooky season. The Sealy City Council voted Aug. 15, to approve Boo Bash, a fun-filled Halloween festival held every year in Sealy.

This will be the 16th annual Boo Bash hosted by The Sealy News and co-hosted by the Sealy Area Chamber and will feature tractor rides, barrel train rides, bounce houses, one or two haunted houses and food trucks.

Sealy News Team Lead/Marketing Consultant Amanda Luksha presented the event to the council detailing specifics about the event, potential street closures and more.

While some Texas school districts are having issues implementing House Bill 3 into their budgets, the Sealy Independent School District is not one of them. In fact, Sealy ISD has been an educational leader in school safety for the past five years.
