An Austin County jury delivered the maximum sentences to a Sealy man who was accused of being a serial domestic abuser during the trial last week. Richard Gatlin, 30, of Sealy, was given the maximum sentences during the four-day trial in District Judge Jeff Steinhauser’s court.

The Beef & Forage Committee of Austin County is encouraging beef cattle producers to turn in a sample of their hay for analysis at this year’s Austin County Hay Show. In the coming months, hay samples will be accepted at different locations throughout Austin County.
