Matthew and Rose Kana of Edna welcomed Delrose Renee Kana, sister of brother Rex Bear Kana, on Sunday, May 14, at 11:07 a.m., at Citizen’s Hospital in Victoria. She weighed seven pounds and measured 19.5 inches long.
Camp Invention, a weeklong Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) summer program for students K-6, returned to Sealy for the third time this past June. The program, which lasted from June 26 to June 30, gave students in Sealy and surrounding areas the opportunity to explore and capitalize on their creativity and dive into the world of STEM.
The Blinn College District will offer a new associate degree this fall that prepares students to enroll in one of its health science programs or transfer into a health science program at a four-year university.
EEA (Extension Education Association) of Austin County, which is a direct part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will host their annual barbeque fundraiser in July. Proceeds will support their work and projects in the community for 2023-24.
