BBQ fundraiser goes toward good cause

EEA (Extension Education Association) of Austin County, which is a direct part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, hosted its annual barbeque fundraiser at Schovajsa Catering recently. Proceeds will go towards the support of their work and projects in the community for 202425. The fundraiser was coordinated by Judy Schulz and Doris Glenewinkel of Bleiblerville EEA. The event was held Wednesday, June 19. Most importantly, funds will support local non-profit charities and educational programs, which bring awareness to Family and Consumer Sciences.

EEA hosts water conservation program

EEA (Extension Education Association) of Austin County, a direct part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, hosted another educational opportunity focusing on the importance of water conservation. Knellen Quinteros of the North Austin County Extension Education Club conducted the program. The program was tailored towards water management and conservation practices. Most importantly, at the end of the program, participants had gained the knowledge and skills needed to reduce their water footprint and implement conservation strategies for their communities and homes.
