#5 Eschenburg, Owen honored

The Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) announced award winners for the 2020-2021 school year and two Sealy High School coaches were among the honorees. Danielle Eschenburg was named the cross country sub-varsity coach of the year and Caroline Owen was tabbed as the basketball middle school coach of the year.

REVENGE EARNED

The Sealy Tiger basketball squad earned a pair of wins in revenge fashion last week. Sealy bounced back from its season-opening loss in Columbus and beat the Cardinals 45-38 at home last Tuesday before it went on the road and took down Caldwell 66-51 to avenge an overtime loss from Dec. 4.

Top Bellville running backs make commitments official

Bellville’s top running backs made their college commitments official last Wednesday, Dec. 15, when they signed their National Letters of Intent during a ceremony at the high school. Richard Reece, this year’s District 12-4A-D2 Offensive MVP, inked his pledge to Baylor University and Robert Briggs, the district’s Overall MVP, signed on the dotted line to join the Utah State program for next season. 2021 year in review

When I sat down to start thinking about all that happened this calendar year, I didn’t think much craziness happened. Then I looked through all the photos on my phone and realized there was no shortage of wild events in the 2021 stretch of months.
