The Faith Academy Knight basketball team collected its second win of the season sandwiched in between two losses during last week’s play. Faith Academy lost to School of the Woods 57-32 last Tuesday, beat True North 68-46 Thursday then closed with a 72-35 loss to Kingwood Covenant Prep Friday.

The Sealy Lady Tiger basketball squad got off on the right foot and earned its first District 24-4A win in its first try last Friday at home against Wharton 67-37. Although this year’s team got to celebrate its first district win earlier than teams of the past, Sealy Head Girls’ Basketball Coach Anthony Branch understood this was just the first step o many.

The Sealy Tiger basketball team was scheduled to play its non-district finale earlier this week Tuesday at home against Burton before El Campo makes the trip to town Friday to open play within District 24-4A.

Although weather delays eventually canceled the Silver Bracket Championship game, the Sealy Lady Tiger soccer team emerged from the Waller Classic Tournament with two wins, one loss and plenty more cohesiveness as a unit after the weekend.

The Sealy powerlifting teams opened the regular season in Bay City over the weekend and both earned sixth place in the team competition. The Tigers came in sixth out of 11 teams behind one class champion, one runner-up and two thirdplace finishers.
