Hennekes open store in Brookshire The Texas State Health department X ray mobile unit, designed to survey the existence of tuberculosis all over the state, will be in Austin County for the next two weeks, and all persons over 15 years of age are again urged to take advantage of this health measure. This service is free to those who wish to have their lungs X-rayed, and it was pointed out at a meeting of workers yester day that disrobing is not required to take the X-rays.

Wine Show crowns champions at end of Fair

Early voting underway for TRE, amendment election

Early voting began Monday and will continue through Oct. 31 for the Sealy Independent School District’s Tax Ratification Election (TRE), or Proposition A Early voting will take place at the Hill Center, 1000 Main Street in Sealy and voting will be from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.

Adamson pleads guilty to lesser charges

The case of Quory Lamaz Adamson ended this week when it was announced that he entered a plea agreement with the state and pled guilty to a lesser-included offense of indecent assault, a Class A misdemeanor. Adamson pleaded guilty to the Class A misdemeanor in charge of violation of conditions of bond in the child abuse case.
