After serving as Sealy’s Interim City Manager twice, Warren Escovy was officially made the full-time City Manager of the City of Sealy and has been settling into his new role. Five cars were reportedly broken into at Apex Stone in San Felipe Wednesday between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. according to owner Justin Jackson.

Thursday evening, Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes said the department responded to a call at 4:45 p.m. where multiple cars were broken into at Apex Stone. Evidence and reports were handed over to the San Felipe Police Department which was handling the investigation.

June 19, the Texas Association of First Responders provided a donation totaling $10,000 to five Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies who were injured in the line of duty. Three of the recipients were involved in the same incident while the other two were individually involved in other cases.

Tuesday morning, Virnau Sealy Tractor announced its sale to Washington County Tractor after 60 years in business. Jeff Virnau, owner and operator of Virnau and Sons Tractor, announced his family business was selling to Chris Wackman and his family business, also located in Sealy, in a video released Tuesday morning.
