The Blinn College District celebrated the accomplishments of 575 graduates Thursday, Dec. 15, during its 146th commencement ceremony at the Brazos County Expo Center.

One familiar Austin County representative was not present at the swearing in of county officials Jan. 1 at the Austin County Courthouse.

Sealy’s Ian Waters is a life-long scout with Sealy Troop 548 who is now setting his sights on gaining his Eagle Scout badge. Waters has completed all his requirements for Eagle and is ready to begin on his Eagle Scout project which is to update the sign structure in front of the American Legion Hall with the logos of local organizations in Sealy.

The city of Sealy has issued a boil water notice for certain sections of the city starting Jan. 3 for valve replacement activities.
