Koehn says Williams’ jail death investigation ongoing

Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn said last week that he has been in communication with the Texas Rangers regarding the status of their investigation into the death of inmate Quincy Williams in the Austin County Jail and was informed that the investigation is ongoing.

Sealy opens Pool play with win over Latin America As the Sealy Junior Girls headed up to Kirkland, Washington to participate in the Little League Softball World Series, head coach Katy Grigar was cautiously optimistic about the team. While the team is undefeated on its road to Washington, Grigar still didn’t know how the team would react to playing on this big of a stage.

City Council discusses ‘24 priorities

It was revealed that $492,950 to be sitting in the city’s Hotel Occupancy Tax (H.O.T.) funds account by the Sealy Chamber of Commerce this past city council meeting after they proposed submitting an application for funding the Sealy Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (CVB).

The Blinn College District has named 2,207 students to its academic honors lists for the spring 2023 semester. Blinn named 1,091 students to its Chancellor’s Scholars List and 1,116 to the Deans’ Scholars List.
