City may only demo a portion of Betsy’s Bakery building

Last Tuesday night, the Sealy EDC held their monthly meeting discussing potential options regarding the former Betsy’s Bakery building located at 125 2nd Street. Earlier reports indicated that the city had seized and finalized demolition of the building, but later developments clarified that the Sealy EDC actually purchased the property through an online auction and were only potentially discussing demoing a small portion of the old barbecue spot located behind the building.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott celebrated the kickoff of TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation – Kirby Glen Center’s renovation project in Houston. Renovations to this rehabilitation center—where the Governor recovered from the life-changing injury he sustained from a falling tree in 1984— will upgrade the facility to make it more accessible and comfortable for patients.
