Throughout his entire career in the foodservice industry, Chef Marvin Guy has successfully walked the thin l i n e between serving traditional favorite menu items and literally spicing things up a bit.

During the month of August, the TEEA (Texas Extension Education Association) hosted the 2021 Austin County Awards Banquet and Officer Installation Ceremony. The event was hosted by the West End EEA Club at the Industry City Building in Industry.

The Austin County Commissioner’s Court met at the county courthouse Monday, Sept. 13 to approve the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget and tax rate.

Sealy High School announced its 2021 Homecoming court last week and the winners will be announced at this Friday’s football game against Stafford.

Austin County residents remembered the events of the terrorist attacks Sept. 11, 2001, at various gatherings last Saturday.

Last Wednesday at the W. E. Hill Community Center, Sealy City Council raised the rates for waterworks and sanitary sewer systems, solid waste and natural gas in an attempt to keep the city’s general budget sound.
