The Austin County Sheriff’s Office released a Sept. 23 release where it announced the arrest of two individuals on drug charges.

At its regular meeting Monday morning, the Austin County Commissioners Court discussed a complete renovation for the County Courthouse elevator. County Judge Tim Lapham explained that the elevator had sustained damage due to severe weather and needs drastic repair.

Sealy High School Interact Club is a service club with a motto of “service above self,” supported by the Austin County Rotary Club. Wednesday, September 22, officers and members for the 2021-22 school year were installed.

Sealy High School seniors Oswaldo Rodriguez and Mercedes Lozano were announced as Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of the Tigers’ football game against Stafford Friday night on Mark A. Chapman Field at T.J. Mills Stadium.

The Brazos Cougar football squad dropped its second straight contest last Friday and fell to 1-2 on the season after a 42-0 loss to Burton at Cougar Stadium in Wallis. Brazos looks to get back on track against Weimar (0-3) on the road this Friday.
