McCain of Brazos FFA recognized as a Ford Leadership Scholar

Every spring, the Texas FFA Association, Ford Motor Company and Texas Ford Dealers select 10 deserving students to join the Ford Leadership Scholars Program. The class of 2023 has now been announced including Gauge McCain of the Brazos FFA chapter. Through the Texas FFA Foundation and Texas FFA Association’s partnership with Ford Motor Company and Texas Ford Dealers, outstanding juniors heading into their senior year are chosen for the handson leadership program.

With the cutting of the cake and a hearty welcome from Sealy Mayor Carolyn Bilski, Tony Tsounakas returned to his namesake restaurant in Sealy and held a welcome home ceremony last Thursday, June 1. “My decision to come back is to come back to the people that love me and that I loved us for so long,” Tsounakas said.

The District 11 Texas Extension Education Association Spring Conference was held on April 11 in Hallettsville with Knellen Quinteros of Austin County as District 11 Director presiding. Also attending was Pat Allee (District 11 Secretary), Rita Jacobs (Delegate), Joan Buenger (Delegate), Claudia Cieslewicz, Gloria Havemann, Carolyn Balke, Shirley Beum, Barney Zimmerman, Jessie Kokemor and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Distinguished Agent Michelle Wright.
