Sealy to close out district season at La Grange

His return will provide an instant spark to the Tiger offense who has recently found their stride in his absence. La Grange is 6-3 as well with a 2-2 record in district. This matchup will have severe playoff implications, La Grange has a high powered offense that came off a 63-7 win against Giddings. An opponent that Sealy beat a few games ago.

When you hear those words “It’s a marathon not a sprint” it could have multiple meanings in every aspect of life. In sports, this is the mindset that  carries you to victory. That's the message the Sealy Volleyball head coach Caroline Owen preached to her players the entire game, even when facing insurmountable odds.

Sealy will be well represented at the State Class 4A UIL track and field meet with several athletes punching their tickets with high finishes at the area track and field meet. The top two finishers at the area meet earn a ticket to the state meet in two weeks in Austin.

WHARTON – When this season began, Sealy Head Softball Coach Brittany Whitehead believed her team had the talent to make some noise in district and on Monday evening, the Lady Tigers proved that to be right. Sealy pummeled El Campo 15-3 in the seeding playoff game to earn second place out of Distict 24-4A and give the Lady Tigers a nice dose of confidence as they head into the softball playoffs.

Who knew the World Cup could shape someone’s entire world? That’s what started it all at the tender age of eight for senior defender and Sealy Tigers’ captain Maximino Requena. Requena’s journey to becoming a name stay on Coach Juan Perez’s team sheet and a crucial member of the Tigers’ backline all began for him after watching one tournament that would change his life forever.
